Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own security team to run Spectacles?
No. Spectacles is built so that an IT lead or your external IT partner can run it on the side. Detection and first response are automated. In a serious incident, the Goldoak team takes over.
How is this different from antivirus or EDR?
An EDR only sees the endpoint. Spectacles additionally collects logs from servers, cloud, email and identities, correlates them and responds across all of them. If you already have an EDR, Spectacles can ingest it as a data source. Read more in our article EDR vs. XDR.
Where is my data stored?
Cloud deployments are hosted in Swiss or EU data centres (Germany) depending on your location, always GDPR and FADP compliant. On request we host in the region of your choice, or you run Spectacles in your own environment.
What is the contract term?
The license runs for 36 months with monthly billing. You can add systems at any time, the difference is billed pro rata.
